Turn "I want to" → "I did it"

Who are we?
The Tangent Initiative is a Melbourne-based ADHD coaching and community initiative.
Our main coaching focus is athletes and active people with ADHD, but the bigger vision extends beyond sport.
We're building a space where people can better understand themselves, connect with others and develop practical ways of navigating sport, work and life with their brain rather than constantly fighting against it.
Through coaching, workshops, practical tools, conversations, movement and community, we want to make those ideas useful in the real world.
Meet the Founder - Gareth Sutton
I’m Gareth, the founder of The Tangent Initiative, ADHD coach, educator, sports coach and soon to be counsellor.
I grew up on a farm in New Zealand and have ADHD myself, so I bring both lived experience and professional experience into the way I work.
I mainly support athletes and active people with ADHD to better understand their brain, find what works for them, and turn “I want to” into “I did it.”

What we do
The Tangent Initiative helps people with ADHD better understand their brain, discover what works for them and turn intention into action through:
1:1 Coaching — practical, strengths-based support to help you move from “I want to” to “I did it.”
Workshops & Tools — simple ideas and strategies you can actually use in sport and everyday life.
Community & Movement — creating opportunities to connect, move and take a different path together.
Understand your brain. Find what works. Move forward.
